Accessibility
We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, speech input, or a browser set to larger text or reduced motion.
What we aim for
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is a target we work to, not a certification we hold.
What that means here
- Every form control has a visible label tied to it programmatically.
- Every interactive control has an accessible name, including icon-only buttons.
- A skip link jumps past the navigation to the main content.
- Focus is always visible, and the whole site works without a mouse.
- Animation is short and subtle, and switches off entirely when your system asks for reduced motion.
- The bowl builder announces your running total as it changes, so it is usable without seeing the screen.
- Headings run in order, so the page can be navigated by structure.
Where we know we fall short
The map on our location page is an embedded Google Map, and we do not control its accessibility. Everything it shows — the full address, a directions link and the phone number — is also written out as text on the same page, so nothing is available only inside the map.
